It wasn’t but 6 weeks ago that I continued my healthy “get my sh!t together” journey.  I was introduced to Ashley by a co-worker, Paige. Paige encouraged me to jump on this adventure because she had such success. I joined in August, I was at my lowest of lows and severely depressed. The last thing I needed was something more on my very overloaded plate. I was going through a real rough time and felt totally helpless. I didn’t feel I deserved much less had the emotional energy to do this.

I lost my son in May at the age of 35 unexpectedly. He was my rock, my advisor, my go to and I did NOT want to live without him. I lost my biggest supporter my encourager. I was crushed and devastated. I didn’t care about much of anything and knew my life would never be the same. My stress eating was way out of control. I wanted God to take me.


“I knew I needed to make a change and I needed help. Now I have NEVER exercised, had discipline or self-control. I chose to push forward and save myself with Ashley’s help and a little from up above. I vowed to stay committed for 6 weeks, stay focused and on track.

I knew it would be hard to food prep. Well, it wasn’t. I now food prep every other Sunday for two weeks. I make double batches and freeze them for the second week. You do not have to change everything you eat. You just have to limit yourself on what we all know we shouldn’t eat. I was a serious sugar eater. I plan my treat first and eat what I like but fit it around the Macros Ashley set for just me. Counting your macros is easy once you understand them. Ashley gives you the Macros breakdown personally fit for YOU.

I embraced the workouts and they have become and important part of my life journey. I do not remember the last time I felt this good (inside and out). This has been a life changing experience for my overall health. I make much better food choices since joining. I used to eat out regularly. Now I plan my eating out with better knowledge of what I am putting in my body.

My motto used to be (as I am eating sweets and frosting), I’m going to start tomorrow and be good. Tomorrow never came. Since joining my motto is Don’t do it later because later becomes never. I encourage you to jump in with both feet. Give this a fair chance. Embrace it and give yourself some grace. If I can do this, you CAN do this.

“Over a year ago, I had a wakeup call that it was time to focus on my health. It was overwhelming, I didn't think I could and I definitely didn't know where to start. The farthest thing from my mind was any sort of strength training. I've NEVER been that person...ever. Even when I was healthier I leaned on cardio.

Then enters Ashley and AG Fitness . (Actually, I met Ashley when her daughter and Bennett were in kindergarten together...then 1st grade...then 2nd. Lol) It took me until May to actually decide I had nothing to lose and give it a try.

I have learned so much about nutrition, macros, and strength training. It was SO hard at first, but now I love it! Ashley made it all so easy and provides me with workouts, sets my macro goals, gives meal ideas, and pours positivity and confidence into every day. She helps me know I'm capable of more than I ever thought and now I'm stronger than I've ever been. I'm not slowing down either.

Now let's talk food. It's so flexible. In fact, I'm having Chipotle for dinner and if you know me at all, you know I'm not giving up my Starbucks habit. I just have to plan for it all.

So, while my focus has been overall health...a byproduct has been weight loss. Since May, I've lost 76 lbs and I'm very close to my goal...well my 1st goal...

“6 weeks ago I was struggling mentally and physically. I gained weight from my first pregnancy in 2017 and had NEVER been able to get it off the additional 20 pounds. In July 2021 I gave birth to my second child and after giving birth I just kept gaining weight(another 20 pounds).  I couldn't stand to look in the mirror, look at pictures of myself, It even got to the point where I didn't want to leave the house, It was HORRIBLE.

My friend Paige shared her success with one of the challenges and I just knew I had to try it. I was only 8 weeks postpartum I wasn't sure I was going to be able to do any of it, as I had a newborn baby, a toddler, and was just going back to work in the office for the first time since March 2020. I thought I was signing myself up for another failure and BOY WAS I WRONG!!! Ashley gave me all the tool to succeed and just after two weeks, I could already see changes!! “A few years ago I had a surgery for a herniated disc in my neck.  During surgery there were complications that resulted with 1/3 of my airway being permanently blocked.   This made working out seem impossible!   I found myself in a bad way with no workouts & comfort eating.   One day a gal at the gym (Crystal) was sharing her workout program with me.  I was able to complete the workout  without complications & at my own pace.  I was hooked & signed up for the next session.  

I found my motivation & a program that fit my needs!  

Was it easy NO!!!!   

However once I got out of my own head, followed the meal plan as directed and completed daily workouts,  I began to feel stronger!!!   

I dreaded the before picture and measurements that proved just how far out of control I was. However, I was SO thankful for it in the end!
